The Apiciencia journal with p-ISSN: 1608-1862, is edited by the Centro de Investigaciones Apícolas (CIAPI) of the Ministerio de la Agricultura of Cuba. Annually, it presents a continuous publication system (January-December) to increase the immediacy of its publications. It is the scientific dissemination body of Beekeeping in Cuba, and publishes Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications and Case Studies; in the themes: Beekeeping, Honey Flora, Environment and Pollination, Beekeeping Technology, Apitherapy, Hive Products, Quality and Safety, Beekeeping Economy, Genetics and Meliponiculture. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process and use the Open Journal Systems to manage their online content. This journal provides free and immediate access to its content, under the principle that making research available free of charge to the public encourages greater exchange of global knowledge. This journal does not charge any fees linked to the peer review process, processing or publication of accepted documents. Those authors who have publications in this journal accept the terms of the CC Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), under which all its contents will be disseminated.
