Spatial analysis of beekeeping in the municipality Artemisa
Main Article Content
Abstract
The apiculture in the municipality Artemisa is one of the most productive of the province, however, the high grade of exploitation of something area threatens the future of the activity. During the investigation the apiaries were located from the use of techniques in the Geographic Information Systems with the objective of analyzing the spatial distribution of the same, in turn, the calculation of the Economic Flight Radios (EFR) allowed to determine the densities of hives by starting from the number of intersections that occurred between the EFR. In most cases the classification of discharge was predominant due to the great overlap between apiaries, which are mostly located in the center of the territory at much lower distances from the EFR of the bees.
