Abstract
La Varroasis es una de las principales plagas que afectan a las abejas producida por el ácaro comúnmente llamado Varroa (Varroa destructor ), encontrándose muy difundido en todo el territorio nacional . Para su control se utilizan medios químicos de importación y altamente costosos. Basándonos en un experimento que se realizó a nivel de laboratorio se comprobó que la dosis de 80 gramos de de hojas del árbol del Nim (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) por litro de agua no presenta afectación significativa sobre las abejas .Se a comprobado en la práctica las posibilidades de producir por medios artesanales que por su sencillez está al alcance de pequeños y medianos productores, utilizándolo contra una gama de insectos, nematodos y ácaros que constituyen plagas de importancia económica en la Agricultura Urbana . Esta infusión fue aplicada en varias especies de cítricos con dosis de 10, 15, 20 y 30 gramos por litro de agua para el control del pulgón (Toxoptera aurantiae) plaga esta que provoca grandes daños en este cultivo por la transmisión de virus, donde se controló el mismo. Subrayando que el cítrico es una planta melífera donde se aplican insecticidas químicos para el control de esta plaga que afectan las abejas.
