Antibacterian action of bee honey with propolis

Abstract
The knowledge and using of apicultural products for human and veterinarian health is getting less empiric at present because of the results of important research works which sustain the usage of these products.
The objetive of this work is precisely the deepening in the study of the apicultural products, and so it was known and compared the antibacterian action of propolis extract, bee honey and a mixture of bee honey and propolis at 0.5%.
As a result of the work, it could be known that not all the bacterian strains were sensitive to the propolis extracts and to the honeys, but they were inhibited by the mixtures of honey and propolis at 0.5%, being demonstrated, in vitro, the effectiveness of these mixtures against the microorganisms in relation to the honey and propolis products separately.
