Algunos mecanismos que explican la tolerancia de las colonias de abejas al ácaro Varroa jacobsoni

Abstract
En el presente trabajo se realiza un repaso de los mecanismos que utilizan las colonias de abejas para aminorar la infestación y los daños ocasionados por el ácaro Varroa jacobsoni Oud. Entre los factores susceptibles para explicar la tolerancia de las abejas a la Varroa, el tiempo de operculado, limpieza de la cría infestada, atracción de la cría, fertilidad de las hembras del ácaro constituyen los factores que dan criterios valorativos de la tolerancia de las colonias de abejas a las infestaciones por Varroa.
