Propolis action in preparations of Isolate Frenic-Diaphram of rats
Main Article Content
Abstract
Propolis action in preparations of Isolate Frenic-Diaphram of rats. As parts of experimental pharmacologic study of propolis, was decided value this action in preparation of striated muscle: frenic-diaphram of rats. Thirty rats of CFY strain of both sexos were used (105-250 g), extracting the diaphragm with the frenic nerve and manteined in Krebs solutions to 37 ºC . The stimulation was made direct over the muscle and indirect over the nerve. The evaluated concentrations of Red propolis were, 16; 33.3; 50; 58.1; 66.4; 83 and 166.6 µg/ml. Ethanol of 70 % was used as control. In indirect stimulation was observed than propolis (58.1mg/ml or more) produced:
- Disminution amplitude of contraction induced by electricaction.
- Increment of basal until obtain levels of contraction sustaind.
Propolis only increase the basal tone of the muscle when was utilizated the direct stimulation of diaphragm. Was demostrated contraction over striated muscle, contrary to relaxation effect observed in smoothe muscle.
