Comportamiento de la abeja (Apis mellifera) como polinizador en el cultivo del melón

Abstract
En el I I H “Liliana Dimitrova” ubicado en el municipio de Quivicán al sur de la provincia La Habana, se desarrolló un experimento con el objetivo de estudiar el comportamiento de la abeja como polinizador en el cultivo del melón, durante el período de floración se observó la actividad de la abeja sobre la flor en diferentes horarios, también se realizaron observaciones sobre la floración del cultivo. Se determinó que las abejas en días soleados realizan más de 400 visitas florales, lo cual es suficiente para lograr una buena fructificación.
