Mortalidad natural y daños ocasionados por las colonias de abejas al ácaro Varroa

Abstract
El presente trabajo fue realizado en 40 colmenas de producción de las provincias de Pinar del Río, La Habana y Matanzas a las cuales se les colocaron trampas de fondo para obtener los ácaros que cayeran de las mismas durante una semana, posteriormente los parásitos fueron examinados a través del microscopio estereoscópico y el analítico. De los ácaros caídos el 79.61 estaban dañados y la lesión más frecuente fue la amputación de las patas. Estos resultados están por encima de los obtenidos por otros autores pero resulta evidente que se requiere profundizar en el estudio de este y los demás factores que determinan el mantenimiento de tasas de infestación bajas y la tolerancia de determinadas colmenas a la enfermedad.
