Case study of valid elderly people suffering from anemia treated with the nutritional supplement APIASMIN

Abstract
Despite the increase of life expectancy is well celebrated, it has deep repercussion on life quality and on the independence of elderly. Therefore it has been recommended to encourage a healthy ageing as result of the decisions that each person have on matters like diet and exercise. The aim of present study is to introduce the Apiasmin as a nutritional support in the diet of elderlies with anemia of unknown causes who do exercises systematically. It was carried out a study of multiples cases on 2013 during three mouths. With a universe of 38 elderly and a sample of 15 who belong to the retreat “Para empezar a vivir” in Havana. The successful variables were: hemoglobin and age. The 93.0% of the sample was cured and only one patient improved. This highlights the effectiveness of Apiasmin in the valid elderly. 53% of the patients healed at three months of treatment and 40.0% at two months. Conclusion: The Apiasmin as a nutritional supplement is useful on the treatment of anemia of unknown causes in elderlies who practice exercises systematically, achieving a fully recovery from two to three month.
