Evaluación de indicadores agronómicos de tres especies de plantas melíferas Agronomic indicators assesment in three species of honeybee flora Vargas Hernández, Silvino Gutiérrez Aguiar, Digna Ibis Acebo Cortiña, Miguel Castro Aguilar, Alexander Agronomic indicators honeybee flora Cordia gerascanthus Gouania polygama & Turbina corymbosa Indicadores agronómicos especies melíferas Baría Leñatero y Campanilla Blanca El trabajo tuvo como objetivos, evaluar algunos indicadores agronómicos de tres especies melíferas en condiciones de traspatio y demostrar las vías de multiplicación de plantas con potencial melífero a nivel local. Las especies investigadas fueron: Baría (Cordia gerascanthus L.); Leñatero (Gouania polygama (Jacq.) Urb. y Campanilla Blanca (Turbina corymbosa (L.) Raf. Las variables en estudio fueron: germinación, diámetro de los tallos y altura de las plantas o largo de los tallos para el caso de los bejucos rastreros y trepadores. La germinación de todas las especies mediante semilla sexual fue superior al 75 por ciento, mientras que el  leñatero, por vía asexual fue inferior a dicho valor. La variabilidad en la vía de propagación agámica fue superior a la gámica y dentro de ésta, la Baría tuvo la menor variación. La altura de C. gerascanthus a la edad de siete meses, demostró un crecimiento moderado. El largo de los bejucos trepadores sembrados en bolsa fue superior a 50 cm, mientras que en leñatero sembrado por esquejes su largo superó los siete metros con el uso de tutores como soporte. El diámetro de leñatero, vía asexual tuvo la mayor variabilidad en relación a la sexual, siendo la campanilla superior al leñatero en esta última vía de propagación. Se concluye que el estudio representa una contribución a la conservación y uso potencial sostenible de la diversidad biológica a nivel local, a bajo costo, para incrementar las fuentes de nectáreos y polen en la apicultura del territorio. Se sugiere extender el estudio a otras especies melíferas y validarlo en condiciones de producción. The objectives of the work were to evaluate some agronomic indicators of three melliferous species under backyard conditions and to demonstrate the ways of multiplication of plants with melliferous potential at local level. The studied species were: Baría (Cordia gerascanthus L.); Leñatero (Gouania polygama (Jacq.) Urb. & Campanilla Blanca (Turbina corymbosa (L.) Raf. The variables in the study were: germination, diameter of the shafts and height of the plants or length of the shafts for the case of the creeping and climbing lianas. The germination of all the species by means of sexual seed was superior to 75 percent, while G. polygama, for asexual propagation was inferior to this value. The variability in the way of agamic propagation was superior to the gamic one and, inside this; C. gerascanthus had the smallest variation. The height of C. gerascanthus at the age of seven months, demonstrated a moderate growth. The length of the climbing lianas sowed in bags was superior to 50 cm, while the length of G. polygama sowed by cuttings overcame seven meters with the use of stakes. The G polygama diameter, for asexual propagation had the biggest variability in relation to the sexual one, being T. corymbosa superior to G polygama in this last propagation way. It is concluded that the study represents a contribution to the conservation and sustainable potential use of the biological diversity at local level, at low cost, to increase the nectarous and pollen sources in the beekeeping of the territory. It is suggested to extend the study to other melliferous species and to validate it under production conditions.
