Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar la eficacia del Propóleos en Tintura al 5% como irrigante intraconducto en el tratamiento endodóntico del municipio Playa. 2014. El universo estuvo conformado por 2644 pacientes que recibieron tratamientos endodónticos radicales concluidos en el municipio Playa entre enero a diciembre del 2014 de cualquier raza y de ambos sexos, formando 2 grupos de 350 pacientes cada uno escogidos aleatoriamente, el grupo de control, el cual recibió aplicaciones de Clorhexidina al 0.2% y el grupo estudio recibió en el mismo lugar, forma y bajo similares protocolos el Propóleos Pardo en Tintura hidroalcohólico al 5%. Las edades mayormente representadas se encontraron en el grupo de 19 a 59 años con predominio del sexo femenino, en el grupo tratado con Propóleo los resultados de curación fueron ligeramente superiores con escaza diferencia porcentual que los tratados con Clorhexidina, después de la segunda aplicación. Tanto los pacientes tratados con Propóleo como con Clorhexidina mostraron curación antes de la tercera aplicación. En ninguno de los pacientes tratados se reportó intolerancia al Propóleos.
